
Jim Norquay Hired As Manager of Officiating

PRINCETON, N.J. â The ECHL on Thursday announced that it has hired Jim Norquay as Manager of Officiating.
Norquay will evaluate ECHL officials and provide assistance in scheduling and coordination of officials travel. He was the Director of Officials and Compliance for the West Coast Hockey League in 2002-03, following an 18-year career as a professional on-ice official.
Norquay, who spent three years as a referee in the National Hockey League officials training program, officiated more than 1,000 professional games, working in the American Hockey League, the International Hockey League and the WCHL, where he officiated Game 7 of the 2002 Taylor Cup Championship.
