IceDogs Wrap up Regular Season

The Niagara IceDogs closed out the 2014-15 regular season with an 8-7 loss to the Erie Otters Sunday afternoon at the Meridian Centre and will open the playoffs in Ottawa on Thursday night.

Chris Paquette and Ryan Mantha scored for the IceDogs, while Dylan Strome struck twice for the Otters to make it 2-2 after one period.

The IceDogs got off to a roaring start in the second, when Mikkel Aagaard, Cody Payne and Jordan Maletta all scored within two minutes of each other to make it 5-2. Nicholas Baptiste made it 5-3 before Maletta added his second of the period. Strome completed the hat-trick and Baptists added his second to make it 6-5 IceDogs.

Vince Dunn made it 7-5 less than a minute into the third, but Strome, Alex DeBrincat and Travis Dermott answered for the Otters, as they took this one 8-7.

Playoff tickets for the first two home games of the playoffs against the Ottawa 67's on March 30th and April 1st go on sale Monday morning (March 23rd) at 10am.

Ticket prices have been frozen at the same price as the regular season tickets for the first round, and can be purchased over the phone, online, at the IceDogs office in the Meridian Centre or at the Pen Centre and Seaway Mall customer service desks.
