
67's Clinch Home Ice in Opening Round with Blanking of Wolves

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's will make the team's first appearance in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs in three years, and will be opening on home ice in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final against the Niagara Ice-Dogs.
With a 6-0 victory over the Sudbury Wolves on Sunday at TD Place, the 67's clinched fourth place in the conference and gained home-ice advantage in the series against Niagara.
Game 1 is Thursday at TD Place, beginning at 7 p.m., with Game 2 going on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Ottawa.
The third and fourth games will be played at Niagara's Meridian Centre in St. Catharines on Monday and Wednesday.
If necessary, the fifth and seventh games of the series will be held at TD Place on Friday, April 3 (Good Friday) at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, April 7 at 7 p.m.
Game 6 is scheduled for St. Catherines on Easter Sunday, April 5, at 2 p.m.
Nathan Todd scored twice for the 67's while Trent Mallette, Jeremiah Addison, Jake Middleton and Ben Fanjoy also scored for Ottawa, which outshot the Wolves 33-15.
Dante Salituro had three assists and completed the regular season as the team's top scorer, with 78 points (37 goals, 41 assists).
Liam Herbst recorded his third shutout of the season. It was Ottawa's sixth blanking of an opponent of the year (second against Sudbury); Leo Lazarev posted the other three shutouts.
