
IceDogs deal with Belleville

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga IceDogs have announced today that they have acquired Jason Fortino ('87) from the Bellville Bulls. In addition, they have also obtained a conditional 12th round draft pick as well as the 80th pick in the CHL Import Draft. In return, the IceDogs sent the Bulls a conditional 4th round draft pick and the 49th pick in the CHL Import Draft.
"Jason has good size and is very responsible defensively. He works really hard and is committed to improving his game and that's the type of hockey player we like to bring into our organization," said Mario Forgione, President and General Manager of the Mississauga IceDogs. "We're very familiar with Jason's game since he played for our Junior âA' team in Milton. We're looking forward to seeing him perform at our camp."
The Stoney Creek, ON native is listed at 6'0, 200 pounds and will add some size to the IceDogs defence corps. He played with the Milton IceHawks Junior âA' team in 2004-05. He was named Best Defensive Player of the Game in the 2003/04 OPJHL Future Star Game.
