TORONTO, ON - The Canadian Hockey League's 2005 Import Draft was held today (June 29th) with all 58 teams participating. The Majors had to wait until the 46th spot in order to make their 1st Round selection. With it, they chose Slovakian forward Marek Horsky.

The 5'9", 180 lb. centre shoots left and was born on December 30, 1986. Last year, he was a member of HC Skalica of the Slovakian junior league, where he compiled 14 goals and 49 points in 47 games. He has also been a member of the Slovakian National Under-16 and Under-17 squads in the past.

Each CHL club is allowed to carry two non-North American (European) players on their active roster during the season. Therefore, since defenceman Jaroslav Mrazek will be returning for his 2nd year with the club, the Majors will be passing on their 2nd Round selection, which was scheduled to take place later this evening.
