Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals announce today that the St. John's IceCaps, American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens has signed winger Alexandre Ranger to 25-game Professional Tryout contract (PTO).
Ranger, 20, is currently tied for the Norfolk team lead with 11 goals scored this season. He added 12 assists in his 45 games played with the Admirals this season. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound winger is in his first season with the Admirals, and is a product of LaSalle, QC.
With a 9-4 record since the New Year, the Admirals look to continue their recent success on the road with games this Friday andSaturday against the Adirondack Thunder. The road contests can be heard on 1650 AM WHKT or seen live on ECHL.TV.
The Admirals return home on Friday, February 12 with a 7:30 p.m. game against the Reading Royals. Ten-packs are available for purchase at the Admirals' Administrative Office inside Scope Arena.
