Cory Stillman's late game winning goal overcame a pair of power play markers from the Augusta Lynx to give the Pensacola Ice Pilots a 3-2 win Friday night at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.

Pensacola (42-14-5) opened the scoring just 34 seconds into the game when Jordan Krestanovich converted a 2-on-1 opportunity to give the Ice Pilots the lead, followed by a Ryan Vince marker at 6:03 for a 2-0 advantage. Augusta (24-30-7) would respond to make it 2-1 when Eric Johansson lit the lamp on the power play from Ken Magowan and Jamie Johnson at 10:07, their first of two man advantage goals.

Augusta's second power play goal came at the 14:41 mark of the middle frame when Louis Goulet scored during a five-on-three advantage. Johnson and Johansson picked up the helpers on the goal to tie the score at 2-2 through 40 minutes.

In the third, both teams pressed for the go ahead goal, but in the end it would be the Ice Pilots who prevailed when Stillman tipped home a Dwayne Hay pass at 17:58, beating Jason Saal by his outstretched left pad. With Saal out of the net for the extra attacker, the Lynx pressed but could not score to surrender the loss.

Saal made 36 stops in the loss, while Frederic Cloutier turned aside 23 shots for the win. Augusta finished the contest 2-for-5 on the power play, while Pensacola went 0-for-7.

The Lynx and Ice Pilots will get back together tomorrow night at 7:35 pm, with the pre-game show starting one half-hour before puck drop on NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630. Tickets are on sale now through the Lynx office at (706) 724-4ICE, all TicketMaster locations, and on line at www.TicketMaster.com.
