Gladiators Shut Out by Sea Wolves, 1-0

Despite 32 saves from Adam Berkhoel, the Gladiators could not get past the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Friday night at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in a 1-0 loss. Mississippi scored the game's only goal on a deflection in front of the Gladiators net 2 minutes into the third period. Nick Greenough got a stick on Kerry Ellis-Toddington's slap shot from the right point and redirected just past Berkhoel for the tally. Travis Lisabeth added an assist on the goal. Scoreless through the first two period, Adam Berkhoel and Mississippi netminder Phil Sauve both put on a goaltending shows at both end of the ice. Berkhoel finished the contest with 32 saves while Sauve recorded his first shutout of the season with 43 saves in the win. The Gladiators and Sea Wolves both were unsuccessful on the power play with Gwinnett going 0-4, while Mississippi went 0-6 on the man advantage.

The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators continue their second season on the road on Saturday, March 19th against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
