Ice Pilots Lose to Augusta 3-2

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots lost to the Augusta Lynx last night by a score of 3-2 at the Pensacola Civic Center.

For the second straight night, the Ice Pilots jumped out to a 2-0 lead. The Ice Pilots would get a goal from Corey Neilson at the 6:40 mark of the first period assisted by Brendan Cook and Luke Fulghum and a shorthanded goal by Nick Lindberg at the 16:53 mark.

Augusta battled back in the second period with a power play goal by Sam Ftorek at 3:05 and Brian Passmore scoring even strength at 12:56 to tie the game at 2.. Joe Pereira would score the game winning goal on the power play at 13:59 of the third period to give the Augusta Lynx a 3-2 win.

Todd Ford was the losing goalie for the Ice Pilots. Trevor Cunning was the winning goalie for Augusta. The Ice Pilots had 42 shots on goal and went 0-6 on the power play. Augusta had 37 shots on goal and went 2-5 on the power play.

The Ice Pilots dropped their record to 0-3-1 and Augusta improved their record to 3-1-1. The Ice Pilots will play home next weekend vs. the Columbia Inferno on Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th at 7:05 p.m.
