Ice Pilots bomb Lynx 8-1

Dominic D'Amour scored twice and added two assists to help the Pensacola Ice Pilots to an 8-1 win over the Augusta Lynx on Friday night.

Cory Stillman opened the scoring at the 3:03 mark to give the Ice Pilots a 1-0 lead, which was countered by Doug Wright's power play goal from John Cronin and Brian Escobedo to tie the game at 1-1.

After Wright's goal, the Ice Pilots tacked on two more goals in the first, three in the second, and two more in the third period to skate away with the win. Todd Ford made 29 saves for the win, while Jason Saal suffered the loss with 23 stops.

Augusta will now wrap up the weekend with the second half of a home and home contest with the Ice Pilots tomorrow night at 8:05 pm EST, with the pre-game show kicking off on NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630 one half-hour before game time.
