
Ice Flyers Fall 5-1 in Macon

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers fell 5-1 to the Macon Mayhem in Macon. Pensacola's lone goal was scored by Robert Lepine. Macon's goals were scored by Mike Chemello, Jimmy Soper, Sam Wilbur and Jake Trask, who scored twice.
Mike Chemello opened the scoring for Macon past the halfway point of the first period at 12:05. He was assisted by John Siemer and Kristaps Bazevics. 39 seconds later on a pass from Sam Wilbur, Jimmy Soper made it 2-0 Macon. The Mayhem outshot the Ice Flyers 13 to 8.
Jake Trask scored both of the second period goals for the Mayhem. The first goal came at 7:17 with John Siemer and Zach Urban assisting. The second goal was scored at 12:25 on a pass from Larry Smith. The Ice Flyers were once again outshot 13 to 10.
Jarret Kup assisted on Sam Wilbur's goal 4:55 into the third period. Robert Lepine scored his second goal of the season to put the Ice Flyers on the board at 10:05 in the third. His power play goal was assisted by Brantley Sherwood and Nathan Bruyere. Macon doubled Pensacola in shots 16 to 8.
