Ice Dogs Fall To Grizzlies, 3-0

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs (29-18-6) were unable to get any offense going Friday night, falling to the Utah Grizzlies (31-20-4) by a score of 3-0. It was only the third regulation loss for the Ice Dogs in their last 20 games and their first home game in nearly two weeks.

The game was scoreless after the first period until D.J. Jelitto put the puck in the net at 3:07 of the second from Brad Herauf. Then with 1:15 to go in the period, Trevor Baker scored from Garett Cameron and Ryan Kinasewich to put Utah up 2-0.

Just 1:06 into the third period, Garett Cameron scored shorthanded with an assist from Ryan Kinasewich to give Utah a commanding 3-0 lead. They held the lead for the eventual shutout win, their second this season at the Long Beach Arena.

With Greg Hewitt battling the flu, the Ice Dogs started recently signed goaltender Mark Scally who made 15 saves in the loss. Alfie Michaud earned the shutout win for Utah with 37 saves. Utah went 0-2 on the power play while the Ice Dogs went 0-5.
