
Hutchinson Recalled to IceCaps, Olkinuora Re-Assigned to Reign

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced today goaltender Michael Hutchinson has been recalled to the St. John's IceCaps of the AHL. Goaltender Jussi Olkinuora has been re-assigned to the Reign.
Hutchinson, 23, has played in 28 games with the Reign so far this season. In that time, the Barrie, Ontario native has earned a 22-4-2 record, 2.08 goals against average and 0.921 save percentage. He also suited up for one game with the IceCaps this season. Hutchinson has played in 88 career AHL games between Providence and St. John's for a 39-38-5 career record, 2.57 career goals against average and 0.916 career save percentage.
He was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round, 77th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Olkinuora, 23, will join the Reign after appearing in nine games for the IceCaps this season. The goaltender has posted a 4-3-1 record with a 3.16 goals-against average and 0.893 save percentage. In his time with St. John's, the Helsinki, Finland native recorded one shutout.
In 2012-13, Olkinuora made his professional debut with the IceCaps for just one game.
Prior to turning pro, Olkinuora spent two seasons at the University of Denver where his record was 21-14-8 with a 0.926 save percentage and 2.27 goals-against average with five shutouts. He also spent a season in the USHL with Sioux Falls Stampede with a 14-13-0 record, 2.78 goals-against average and, 0.900 save percentage.
