SF Bulls Downed in LGBT Jerseys by Alaska, 5-2

SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco Bulls (13-19-2-1) lost to the Alaska Aces (21-9-2-1), 5-2, Saturday at the Cow Palace. Sporting their LGBT specialty jerseys, the Bulls received goals from Brett Findlay and Sebastian Stalberg. The jerseys were auctioned off during the game with a portion of the proceeds going to SF Pride.

The Aces started the game strong, as they tallied two goals in the first seven minutes of the game, with Shawn Skelly and Matthew Sisca finding the net. The first period ended with Alaska leading 2-0.

The second period started well for San Francisco. Findlay tallied his eighth of the season at 8:52. Dale Mitchell picked up the assist to record his sixth point in three games this week. Tim Coffman answered back for the Aces with 7:01 remaining in the second period to give Alaska the 3-1 lead.

In the third period, Sisca scored his second goal of the game on the power play with just 37 seconds elapsed. Stalberg recorded his first goal in a Bulls jersey to make it 4-2 at 3:36 of the third period. The goal came off of a beautiful feed from the corner. Riley Brace and Dean Ouellet earned the assists. Coffman made it a 5-2 game with 3:11 left in regulation.

The Bulls return to the ice of Wednesday to take on the Colorado Eagles. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Dean Ouellet Bobblehead. Puck drop is 7:30 pm.
