
Houston Rockets Assign Forward Gary Clark to Rio Grande Valley Vipers

HOUSTON - The Houston Rockets announced today that they have assigned forward Gary Clark to their NBA G League Affiliate team, Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Clark (6-8, 225) was not selected in the 2018 NBA Draft but later signed a two-way contract with the On Dec. 6, Houston converted him to a standard NBA contract. Clark appeared in 36 games with one start for the Rockets this season, averaging 14.6 minutes played. He has 15 steals with just five turnovers and has recorded at least two blocks six times.
Clark appeared in 34 games during the 2018-19 season for the Rockets, averaging 15.1 minutes on the court and shot 32% from the field. Additionally, Clark averaged 3.1 points per game, 2.7 rebounds. His season totals are 14 assists, 15 steals, 22 blocks.
In college, Clark spend all four of his seasons at Cincinnati where he averaged 10.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 blocks. As a senior, he was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year while picking up his second straight AAC Defensive Player of the Year award.
