Greensboro Grasshoppers News Release
(Greensboro, NC) The Greensboro Grasshoppers Friday night contest against the Augusta GreenJackets has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader to be played Saturday, June 24 beginning at 5:00pm. Gates for the two seven-inning contests will open at 4:30pm.
The Saturday night doubleheader will feature Grasshoppers baseball hats to the first 1,500 fans, sponsored by Optima Cleaning Services. The fireworks extravaganza, originally scheduled for tonight's game, will be rescheduled for a future Hoppers home game.
Tickets for the cancelled game serve as a rain check and can be redeemed at the box office for any future 2006 regular season Hoppers game, based on availability.
