Rochester Honkers News Release
(Rochester, Minn.) - The Rochester Honkers trail the Waterloo Bucks 3-2 in the top of the ninth in a game suspended due to curfew. The game will be finished on Monday, July 4 in Waterloo. The Honkers trailed all the way to the top of the seventh, until Jacob Thomas (UC Davis) doubled to left field, which put Joey Czarske (Cal State Northridge) on third. Then an error by the Bucks in left field allowed Czarske to score on the same play.
Keaton Weisz (Auburn) hit a single in the next at-bat to tie the game at 2.
Zach Sanders (New Mexico Junior College) stole second base, advanced to third on a balk and scored on a groundball putout in the bottom of the eighth to give the Bucks a 3-2 lead before play was suspended due curfew.
