Tulsa Oilers News Release
Back Home: The Tulsa Oilers return to the BOK Center Saturday, for their first home game in two weeks. They will host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Saturday at 7:35 p.m. That will follow a Friday game at Bossier-Shreveport at 7:05 p.m. both games can be heard via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com.
Repeat Week: The Oilers lost 6-2 at Odessa last Friday, but rebounded with a 5-3 win at Oklahoma City on Saturday night. It was the second straight week the Oilers had lost to Odessa on Friday and rebounded with a win over Oklahoma City the next night.
Start Over: While all good things must end, such was the case for Mike Beausoleil's 17 game point streak. He had 8 goals and 21 assists in 17 straight games before held pointless in Odessa. That ties for the longest streak in the CHL this season, along with Jeff Bes of Laredo. It didn't take long for Beausoleil to start scoring again, as he had two goals and an assist Saturday at Oklahoma City.
Lind A Hand: Defenseman R.J. Linder played his first two games for the Oilers last weekend and registered an assist in each game and was +4 for the weekend.
Blazer Basher: Sean Collins has appeared in two games against the Oklahoma City Blazers. He has three goals and one assist for four points, figuring in half the Oiler goals in those two games against Oklahoma City.
Collect Coats: The Oilers are teaming with Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless and T-Town Trolley for a winter coat collection this weekend. The trolley will be at McNellie's at 1^st and Elgin on Friday from 10-1 and at Camille's Sidewalk Café at 96^th and Riverside from 2-5. On Saturday the Trolley will be in front of the BOK Center prior to the Oilers game. Any fan who donates a new or gently used coat at any of the three locations, will receive a free ticket for Saturday's game.
OutdOilers: The Tulsa Oilers will become the Outdoor Oilers on Tuesday night as they will be skating at the Winterfest rink outside the BOK Center. Members of the public are invited to skate with the Oilers at the Winterfest rink (3^rd and Frisco) from 7-9 p.m.
