Jacks Tie Franchise Record with 11 Straight Wins

(Odessa, TX) - The Jackalopes closed out their weekend with a pair of thrilling wins giving the team 11 consecutive wins and a sweep of their seven-game home stand

Last week's record: 4-0-0

This week: Friday @ Corpus Christi, Saturday @ Rio Grande Valley

Tuesday vs. Amarillo, 5-2 Win

Amarillo owned a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period, but Odessa came back with four second period goals of their own. Kory Karlander recorded a pair of goals for Odessa. Jeff Pierce added an empty netter in the third period.

Friday vs. Tulsa, 6-2 Win

For the second straight game, Kory Karlander recorded two power play goals for Odessa leading the Jacks to the 6-2 win. Karlander also had two assists for a four point night along with Dominic Leveille, who also recorded four points in the game (one goal, three assists).

Saturday vs. Laredo, 3-2 Win

Jeff Pierce scored the game winning goal in the third period and the Jacks' held off a late rush by Laredo to win their second meeting against the Bucks this year. The Jacks took over sole possession of the best record in the Southern Conference in the CHL with the win.

Sunday vs. Corpus Christi 4-3 (SO) Win

Odessa tied a franchise record with their 11th straight win. Dan McWhinney was the number one star after stopping all five Corpus Christi shooters in the shootout rounds. Dominic Leveille was the only scorer in the shootout, earning the game winning goal.

Friday at Corpus Christi, 7:05 PM

The Jacks put their winning streak back on the line against the team that drove them to the brink last Sunday. Odessa has won all three games against the IceRays this year, and will make their second trip to the American Bank Center on Friday. Odessa won 4-0 in their first game in Corpus.

Saturday vs. Rio Grande Valley, 7:05 PM

Odessa and Rio have split four games this season. The road team has won every game in this series so far, and each has been decided by one goal. Bees forward Travis Bunga is on the 30-day IR and will not play. Rio Grande has lost three of their last four.
