December 15, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Arizona Sundogs News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs announced Monday that they have teamed up with Arizona's Family Channel 3 News and the Salvation Army for this year's Christmas Angel program.

Sundogs players Derek Legault and A.J. MacLean will be at the Prescott Gateway Mall Tuesday from 1:00-3:00pm to help encourage visitors to participate in the Christmas Angel program. Located between Sears and Barnes & Nobles, the players will be available for autographs and photos throughout the appearance.

About the Christmas Angel Program: The Salvation Army's Christmas Angel program, a tradition throughout Arizona which began in 1986, is an opportunity for people to reach out to children in need. Christmas Angel trees can be found in malls throughout Arizona.

Each of the trees is decorated with Christmas Angel tags that represent a boy or girl 12 years of age and younger. These are children whose families have qualified for holiday assistance through The Salvation Army and have met the criteria established by the organization. To get involved in the Christmas Angel program, remove a tag from the tree, talk with a volunteer and then shop for your angel(s). Then simply return your unwrapped gifts to the tree.
