Hogs Get Another Crack At Houston
February 8, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill.- Mired in a three game winless drought, the Rockford IceHogs return to the ice tonight to take on the Houston Aeros for the second time in four days. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and is the third and final at the Rockford MetroCentre between the two clubs. The teams will, however, face off twice more in Houston in March.
The three-game winless slump is only the second of the season for Rockford. The IceHogs will also be looking to get revenge after a 3-1 loss against Houston from Tuesday night in Rockford. Goals have been scarce in the first three games of the season series between the IceHogs and Aeros as the teams have combined for just 12 goals.
The first 1,000 fans to the MetroCentre tonight will pick up an IceHogs Jersey Backpack courtesy of ROA and 23 WIFR. Also tonight, the IceHogs will celebrate Hammy's birthday. The Hogs will welcome some of Hammy's closest friends including the Milwaukee Brewers Racing Sausages, Tommy Hawk from the Blackhawks, South Paw from the White Sox, Rocko from the Riverhawks, Vinnie from the Raptors and many others.
For tickets to tonight's game, contact the Box Office at (815) 968-5222 or the web at www.centreevents.com.
Fans can listen to tonight's game on 1330 AM WNTA or on the web by clicking here. The contest can be viewed through the B2 Networks for just $6 or on Comcast Cable 57 in Rockford.
Next Home Game: Friday, Feb. 15 vs. Quad City Flames. The IceHogs and Flames meet up for the second time in less than a week. The game is the third at the MetroCentre between the West Division foes and the first 1,000 kids to the contest 12-and-under will pick up a Walking With Dinosaurs lapel pin courtesy of the IceHogs and Centre Events.
