
Bacon Bits Returns This Sunday

Rockford, Ill.-The popular magaizne-style show "Bacon Bits" returns to the air this weekend. The features the Rockford IceHogs and runs one Sunday every month during hockey season.
February's edition of "Bacon Bits" is this Sunday and will air on FOX 39 at 9:35 p.m. "Bacon Bits" airs from October through the end of the IceHogs season.
This month's show contains a feature on IceHogs Assistant Coach Ted Dent. "Bacon Bits" looks at Dent's responsibilities as the second man in charge in the IceHogs lockerroom.
Overall this season, Rockford has had 13 players called up to the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL and "Bacon Bits" will disect the impact that these players have had so far this season with Chicago.
Currently, five players are on recall to Chicago including Dustin Byfuglien, Cam Barker, Jack Skille, Jordan Hendry and Martin St. Pierre.
Speaking of St Pierre, "Bacon Bits" has a one-on-one with the IceHogs loan representative. Fans will get an opportunity to get an inside look at one of the AHL's most potent point producers.
IceHogs fans are known for being a little crazy at Hogs games and "Bacon Bits" will feature four of the wildest. "Bacon Bits" will have the story behind the Hogettes, four IceHogs fans who dress up like female pigs!
Another feature for Sunday's show goes behind-the-scenes Jason Earles visit to a recent IceHogs game at the MetroCentre. Earles is a star on the smash hit Disney show Hannah Montanta.
"Bacon Bits" is hosted by WTVO Sports Director Scott Leber and Weekend Sports Anchor Vince Conway.
This season is the third year of the show that takes an exclusive behind the scenes look at Rockford American Hockey League club. Check your local listings for show times.
