Toronto Marlies News Release

A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies will be presenting Toronto Zoo Night on Saturday, February 9, when the team hosts the Hamilton Bulldogs - AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens - in a 4 p.m. contest at Ricoh Coliseum.

The community partnership is created to help raise awareness for the Toronto Zoo Foundation, Toronto Zoo, and to help raise money for their Foundation and educational programs. Marlies Alley will showcase different animals from the Toronto Zoo for fans in attendance. Discounted ticket prices are available for fans that purchase through the Toronto Zoo Foundation in the side and end zone seating area. A portion of those proceeds will be donated by the Toronto Marlies to the Toronto Zoo Foundation.

There will be a pre-game ceremony showcasing Alice The Camel and Aasha The Concave Casqued Hornbill from the Toronto Zoo. One lucky fan will have the chance to win an Adopt-An-Animal for a year, presented by the Toronto Zoo.

The Toronto Zoo is well-known for their interactive education and conservation activities. They provide a unique wildlife experience, and inspire people to live in ways to promote the well being of the natural world.

The North Division leading Marlies host the Houston Aeros - AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild - at Ricoh Coliseum on Sunday with game time set for 4 p.m. For ticket information, including ticket packages and priority seating, visit www.torontomarlies.com or call the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK.
