Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the United Hockey League and 2005-06 Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champions, announce their 2006-07 training camp will begin this Monday, October 2nd.
The first-time the K-Wings will hit the Wings Stadium ice will be Monday at 10 a.m. Training camp is open to the public and the K-Wings are encouraging fans to come and see the development of their hometown team for the upcoming season. This year's training camp will span over seven days and will feature three preseason games against two top rivals the Muskegon Fury and the Fort Wayne Komets.
Kalamazoo's first test of the preseason will be Wednesday, October 4th at 7:30 p.m. when the K-Wings host the Muskegon Fury.
Two days later on Friday, October 6th, the K-Wings will continue their preseason schedule, when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana to start a home and home series against the Komets. Game time in Fort Wayne is at 8:00 p.m. The two teams wrap up their preseason schedule the following night, Saturday, October 7th for a 7:30 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium. Reserve tickets for either of the preseason games are only $5.
All the K-Wings' preseason games can be heard on the K-Wings Radio Network (WLKM 95.9 FM & 1660 AM WQSN) starting with the Digital Highway Pre-Game Show 15 minutes prior to face-off.

Following the practice on October 8th, the K-Wings will begin finalizing their roster while preparing for the season opener on Friday, October 13th when they travel to Elmira, New York.
The K-Wings will start their 38-game regular season home schedule on Saturday, October 21st at 7:30 p.m. when they entertain intra-state rivals, the Flint Generals. Prior to the face-off of the home opener Kalamazoo will hold a ceremony featuring fireworks and the unveiling of the K-Wings championship banners and Colonial Cup rings. All fans that come to home opener will receive a FREE commemorative magnetic schedule courtesy of Meijer.
Preseason and regular season single game tickets for the entire K-Wings 2006-07 home schedule go on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office this Saturday, September 30th. Single game tickets range from $8-13. Prices for K-Wings games will increase $1 for premium game nights (Orange Ice, Pink Ice, Green Ice & New Years Eve). Fans are also encouraged to purchase their game tickets in advance, as they will save $1 per ticket by getting their seats prior to a game day.
