Flags Announce 2nd Annual "Meet Your Flags" Golf Outing

(PORT HURON, MICH.) - The members of the 2006-07 Port Huron Flags roster will be golfing with the community on Monday, Oct. 9 at the 2nd Annual "Meet Your Flags" Golf Outing.
Held at the Port Huron Elks Lodge, the all-day event pairs a hockey player with each foursome of participating golfers, allowing fans to spend some quality time with the faces they will see on the ice. Registration runs $100 per person, and includes brunch, dinner and 18 holes of golf for participants. To participate in the dinner, without golfing, costs $30.
"Our October event has a totally different feel than our July golf outing, because of the personal player touch. A lot of people want to get to know the players better and this is a great opportunity to do just that," said Director of Ticket Sales Bob Gearing.
Registration runs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with cart rollout at 11:45 a.m. and a shotgun start at Noon. Dinner is scheduled at 5:15 to 7 p.m.

Special Guest Karen Newman, the longtime voice of the Detroit Red Wings, will kick off the night's festivities as she sings the national anthem.
