Jackals Launch Franchise's Seventh Training Camp This Weekend

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals announced today that their 2006 Training Camp begins this weekend at First Arena. The Jackals also announced that the Coca-Cola House promotion will be extended through Sunday at the Arnot Mall.
The Jackals hockey season is finally upon us. Elmira's 2006 Training Camp will begin Saturday, September 30th with the players arriving and a team welcome dinner. Sunday, October 1st, the Jackals in camp will go through their extensive physicals and then be put through the rigorous fitness testing at the team's workout facility, New York Sport & Fitness. Monday, October 2nd will begin the first official on-ice workout, with sessions at 10:00 am, 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. They will also undergo strenuous off-ice training sessions at New York Sport & Fitness during the day on Monday.
"We are excited to finally get Training Camp underway," said General Manager Robbie S. Nichols. "We put in very long hours all summer long preparing for this moment, now is the time to see which players are ready to be a part of a winning team this year."
A complete Training Camp schedule and detailed Jackals Camp Roster will be released on Monday. All on-ice sessions are open to the public. Fans are requested to enter through the Rec Rink doors on Gray Street.
The Jackals, partnering with Pembrook Pines Media Group and the Arnot Mall, also announced that their Coca-Cola House promotion will be extended through Sunday at the Arnot Mall. Come see Jackals Head Coach Kris Waltze and some of the new faces in the Jackals training camp all day Sunday. Coach Waltze, members of the Pembrook Pines Media Group and some of the Jackals have been in the Coca-Cola House since Thursday morning, trying to rev up enthusiasm for the rapidly approaching season. With every purchase of two tickets to an October Home Game, the Jackals are giving away a free case of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke or Sprite.
The Elmira Jackals are gearing up for their seventh season of operations in the United Hockey League and the Twin Tiers.
