HiToms Gallop past Mustangs

High Point-Thomasville HiToms News Release


MARTINSVILLE, V.A. - Thomasville scored a season high of 15 runs as they galloped past Martinsville 15-0 on Tuesday night at Hooker Field in Martinsville.

Thomasville (4-0) took control of the game early with six runs by the third inning which was plenty for Mike Mayers (W, 3-2) who had another great outing for the HiToms.

Martinsville (2-1) had their worst night of the season as they surrendered 15 runs to the Tommies, additionally; the Mustangs committed five errors which really hurt their cause.

Brock Hebert collected a base hit in four trips which extended his hitting streak to a season high of 12 games, the Southeastern Louisiana product also walked three times.

Jacob Fisher also had a big game for the HiToms as he collected three hits for the first time this season to help pace the HiToms to their 15-0 victory.

Thomasville is back at home tomorrow night at 7:00 when they entertain the Forest City Owls at historic Finch Field.
