Hitmen Win at Seattle

Kent, WA - The Calgary Hitmen improved to 4-1 on their season high seven game road trip with a 5-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday night at ShoWare Center.

Mark Kastelic and Luke Coleman both scored twice for the visitors who built period leads of 2-0 and 3-1. Carson Focht supplied the other Hitmen marker on a night where goaltender Carl Stankowski returned to Seattle to make 24 saves against his former team.

The Hitmen penalty killers played a huge role killing all seven shorthanded situations including a 5-on-3 for 1:31.

Kaden Elder chipped in a pair of assists for the Hitmen who have now won five of their last six games.

Matthew Wedman and Zack Andrusiak scored for Seattle.

Calgary is back on the ice tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 24 in Kennewick to face former teammate Dom Schmiemann and the Tri-City Americans. The road trip swing will then conclude in Red Deer on Nov. 30.

The Hitmen won't be back in the Scotiabank Saddledome until Saturday, Dec. 1 when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings.
