Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced the signing of forward Chase Valliant to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
Valliant, a product of Surrey, BC, was the Hitmen's second selection in last week's 2021 WHL Prospects Draft for 2006 born players (third round, 58th overall).
"We are very excited to have Chase sign with the Hitmen," said Hitmen General Manager Jeff Chynoweth. "He is a versatile player who can play all forward positions and has high scoring and play making abilities."
"It has always been a dream of mine to play in the WHL," said Valliant. "When I saw I had been drafted by the Hitmen, I was exhilarated after hearing only great things about the organization. I can't wait to arrive at the Saddledome to get to know everyone, train, and play games."
Valliant is currently playing with the Yale Hockey Academy and has already recorded 27 points (17g, 11a) in 10 games.
