Hitmen Host 'Fame for Food' Saturday
December 18, 2015 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - On Saturday, December 19, the Calgary Hitmen will celebrate its charitable arm, the Calgary Hitmen Foundation, when the Hitmen play the back half of a home-and-home series against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The evening will showcase how the foundation contributes to the development of grassroots and amateur sports, promotes health and wellness and supports education.
Paying it forward will be highlighted by Breakfast Television and Sportsnet 960-The Fan's Fame For Food with fans asked to bring a non-perishable item to the game for the Calgary Food Bank.
"We are privileged and honoured to have Breakfast Television and Sportsnet 960-The Fan partner with us on this initiative," said Hitmen General Manager and Vice President of Business Operations Mike Moore. "During the holiday season, especially this year, there is an increased demand for food hampers and we are pleased to provide a lending hand with the support of Hitmen fans."
The Calgary Food Bank can turn just $1 into $5 worth of food. Donation boxes will be present on the concourse during Saturday's game in an effort to raise additional funds for deserving Calgary families.
Individual game day tickets are available at Ticketmaster locations and the Scotiabank Saddledome box office. Order online at HitmenHockey.com or by phone at 1-855-985-5000. For more ticket information, contact customer service at 403-777-4646.
