KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 2015 Bantam Draft Pick Liam Belcourt to a standard WHL Players Agreement.

Belcourt was taken in the fourth round (71st overall) in the 2015 Bantam Draft.

"Liam has continued to improve since we drafted him," Tory stated. "We look forward to him competing for a spot on our roster next season. He is a very good skater with excellent size. We are happy to add another committed young prospect to our hockey club."

The native of Sherwood Park, AB, currently plays for the Okanogan Hockey Academy's Edmonton Prep Team, scoring a goal and three assists in 23 games played. Last season, Belcourt played for the Sherwood Park Flyers of the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League. The 6'3, 188-pound defenseman played in 27 games, scoring a goal and 8 assists.

The Americans are back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 29, against the Portland Winterhawks. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations, including the Toyota Center Box Office, at any Fred Meyer outlet or online at Ticketmaster.com.
