Prince Albert, SK - Ian Scott turned away 31 shots to backstop the Prince Albert Raiders to a 3-1 victory over the defending WHL champion Kelowna Rockets on Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

Despite only seeing each other once a season, Friday night's meeting between the Raiders and Rockets was a emotional and feisty one. Austin Glover, Jesse Lees, and Dalton Yorke faced their former team for the first time since being traded to Prince Albert last season and played significant roles in the win.

Reid Gardiner led all skaters in the game with a pair of assists. Glover, Hunter Warner, and Dylan Williamson found the back of the net for Prince Albert.

Kelowna's lone goal of the evening came in the third period as Lucas Johansen ended Scott's shutout bid.

Scott's 31 saves came on 32 shots, while Rockets' netminder Jackson Whistle stopped 29 of 32 attempts.

The Raiders and Rockets each collected 32 shots on goal. Prince Albert went 0-for-4 on the power play, while Kelowna was 1-for-5.

Prince Albert ends their three-game-losing skid and improves to 19-11-2-1 on the campaign, while Kelowna maintains their lead atop the league standings but slip to 25-8-1-0.

The Raiders play their final game before the holiday break on Saturday night when they host the East Division leading Brandon Wheat Kings. Puck drop is 7:00 PM. To share the gift of hockey this holiday season, pick up the Raiders' Co-op Holiday pack for only $65.
