Spokane, WA - The Calgary Hitmen opened a franchise record 11 game road trip with a 4-3 come from behind win over the Spokane Chiefs Friday night at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

Trailing 3-1 in the third period, the Hitmen struck for three unanswered goals. Colby Harmsworth netted the game winner with just over seven minutes remaining.

Carsen Twarynski, Micheal Zipp and Elliott Peterson also scored for Calgary who has now won 12 of their last 13 games to pull within two points of the WHL's Central Division leading Medicine Hat Tigers.

Adam Tambellini was the only Hitmen player with multiple points recording a pair of assists in a first star performance.

Spokane outshot Calgary 29-24 but Brendan Burke made 26 saves to record his seventh consecutive victory.

The Hitmen went 0-3 on the powerplay while the Chiefs, who got goals from Adam Helewka, Blair Oneschuk and Kailer Yamamoto went 0-2.

Calgary, 35-18-1-4, returns to action Saturday night in Kennewick against the Tri-City Americans. Radio Broadcast on Sportsnet 960 The Fan begins at 8:00 p.m. MT. The road trip will also take the Hitmen to Seattle, Portland, Everett, Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge before their next home game on Sunday, March 15th against the visiting Hurricanes. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
