
Hitmen Continue to Roll by Thrashing Edmonton 6-1

St. Albert, AB - The Calgary Hitmen remain unbeaten four games into the Western Hockey League pre-season following a 6-1 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday night at Servus Credit Union Place in St. Albert.
Six different Hitmen scored in the triumph with Terrell Draude, Colby Harmsworth and Layne Bensmiller all recording a goal and an assist. Andrew Fyten, Micheal Zipp, and Carsen Twarynski also scored for Calgary who jumped out to a 4-0 first period lead.
Kyle Dumba went the distance in goal turning aside 24 shots to record the victory while 10 different Hitmen picked up at least a point, including Loch Morrison who had two assists.
Edmonton, who got their lone goal from Lane Bauer, outshot Calgary 25-22.
The Hitmen, now a perfect 4-0 in the pre-season, will welcome the Oil Kings to the Scotiabank Saddledome tomorrow afternoon (Sept. 13) for a 3:00 p.m. start. The contest will be a franchise first for the Hitmen who have never before hosted an exhibition game at the 'Dome.

Calgary completes their seven-game exhibition schedule next weekend with a pair of games at the Crowsnest Pass Tournament. On Friday, Sept. 18 they take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes before facing the Kootenay ICE on Saturday, Sept. 19 with both games to be played at the Crowsnest Sports Complex in Coleman.
The Hitmen will then begin their 72-game 2015-16 regular season schedule with a home-and-home series against the ICE. It begins on Friday, September 25 in Cranbrook before returning to the Scotiabank Saddledome for the Adrenalin Source For Sports Home Opener on Saturday, September 26. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
