Brandon Blow past Pats 8-3

The Brandon Wheat Kings opened the scoring at the 11:24 mark of the first when Mark Matsuba scored unassisted. They would increase their lead 20 seconds later when Tyler Coulter scored making it 2-0. The Regina Pats got on the board in the second when Rykr Cole scored his second of the pre-season less than two minutes in. Brandon and Regina would match goal for goal after that when Brandon's Stelio Mattheos made it 3-1 on the power play. The Pats Jared Freadrich would get his first to make it 3-2 on the power play. The flurry would continue when the Wheat Kings Braylon Shmyr would get his second goal of the pre-season to make it 4-3 Wheat Kings. Regina's Colton Kroeker would make it 4-3 with less than one minute left in the second. In the third, Brandon would get four unanswered goals to beat the Pats 8-3.

-The Regina Pats will return to the Brandt Centre on Wednesday, September 16th in pre-season action against the Prince Albert Raiders.

-Jared Freadrich scored his first goal as a member of the Regina Pats.
