Hicks' Late Blast Lifts Snappers to Win

After giving up a 3-0 lead Minnesota Twins top prospect Aaron Hicks delivered the home winning hit via a solo blast in the eighth inning off Cougar reliever Max Peterson.

Snappers starting pitcher Tom Stuifbergen pitched five plus innings of work with six strike outs in a no-decision.

The Snappers bullpen which consisted of lefty Andrey Lobanov (1-2) who picked up his first win of the season and righty Miguel Munoz both combined pitched 3 1/3 innings and managed to strike out four batters, with Munoz picking up his first save of the season.

The "Brodie Trophy Player of the Game" goes to outfielder Aaron Hicks who had the game winning home run (sixth of the season) and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

With the win the Snappers are now back within one game of the final playoff spot. Friday night the Snappers will send lefty Edgar Ibarra to the hill for the rubber game against the Kane County Cougars with first pitched scheduled for 7:00p.m.
