Hernandez's Grand Slam Helps Indians Top Buffalo, 10-5

BUFFALO, NY -- Gorkys Hernandez clubbed the first grand slam of the season for the Indianapolis Indians, and the Tribe dominated the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday evening, 10-5. All nine batters in the Tribe's lineup reached base in the highest run output since May 5.

The Indians held a 4-1 lead when Hernandez hit the grand slam in the top of the fifth inning. It was the first grand slam for the Tribe since Matt Hague's on May 12, 2014. Hague was in the Buffalo lineup Tuesday night.

Three runs crossed for the Indians in the top of the third, and Jaff Decker helped seal the win with a two-run single in the seventh. Casey Sadler (4-2) didn't allow Chris Dickerson's three-run double in the fifth spoil his night, he earned the win after pitching seven innings.

Andrew Albers (2-6) conceded eight runs in five innings for the Bisons and received the loss. The Indians offense tallied 11 hits off Buffalo pitching in the victory.

Indianapolis (27-19) holds the International League's best record and is 4-1 on the six-game road trip. It concludes Wednesday afternoon against Buffalo (23-23) at 1:05 p.m.
