Liam Herbst won for the first time this season and his 67`s teammates were victorious for the second straight game as Ottawa secured a convincing 4-2 decision over the defending Memorial Cup champion Oshawa Generals.

Herbst, the 19-year-old veteran, made 25 saves and looked sharp most of the night as the 67`s took a second straight victory on home ice at TD Place and improved on the season to 2-3-0-0.

Russian import Artur Tyanulin scored twice for his first markers of the 2015-16 campaign, while Jeremiah Addison and Sam Studnicka had power play goals for Ottawa.

The 67`s penalty killers got in on the act too, killing a 97-second two-player disadvantage early in the third period.

Oshawa goalie Liam Devine made his first Ontario Hockey League start and made 23 saves.

Ottawa heads on the road for games on Saturday in Barrie and Sunday in Owen Siound, before embarking on another road trip next weekend to Windsor and then to Michigan with stops in Flint and Saginaw.
