(Windsor, ON) - General Manager Warren Rychel has acquired defenceman Tyler Nother from the London Knights in exchange for Ottawa's 3rd Round selection in 2018 and Windsor's 6th Round pick in 2020.
Nother, 17, was London's 3rd Round pick (58th overall) in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.
The 6'3, 188-pound Orangeville native appeared in 40 games in 2014-15, his rookie season, posting two assists and -8 rating along with 54 penalty minutes. Nother has suited up in just two games so far this year, recording two penalty minutes and a -1 rating.
Nother joins a defensive group that includes: Liam Murray, Jalen Chatfield, Andrew Burns, Mikhail Sergachev, Logan Stanley, Kyle Auger and Patrick Sanvido, who will miss this weekend's action after suffering a lower body injury last night versus Peterborough.
"Tyler is a player with lots of potential," Rychel said. "He's just 17 years old. This is a good move for us right now and for the future."
