CINCINNATI, Ohio - Jonathan Hedstrom collected a goal and two assists and Nick Smith added a pair of goals to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 7-5 victory over the Chicago Wolves Wednesday at Cincinnati Gardens.

Ben Guite, Dan Riva and Rob Valicevic each finished with a goal and an assist for the Ducks, who had lost four straight and were winless in their last six (0-4-2-0).

Jean-Francois Damphousse made 30 saves in the victory for Cincinnati, which scored seven goals in a game for the first time since January 6, 2002 against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Mark Hartigan had a goal and two assists for the Wolves, who had won three in a row and were unbeaten in their last seven.

Norm Maracle surrendered five goals on 16 shots before being pulled in favor of Michael Garnett in the second period. Garnett, recalled earlier in the day from ECHL Greenville, stopped 14 of the 16 shots he faced and absorbed the loss in his AHL debut.

The Ducks play the second game of a six-game home stand Friday when they host the South Division-leading Norfolk Admirals Friday at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.
