Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Wednesday released goaltender Doug Teskey.
Teskey, who will return to the East Coast Hockey League's Toledo Storm, filled in for Joey MacDonald as Marc Lamothe's backup in seven contests since being signed to a professional tryout on Feb. 7. MacDonald is set to return this weekend from a groin injury suffered on Jan. 29.
