ABBOTSFORD, B.C. - J.P. Lamoureux turned aside 22 shots and the Abbotsford Heat dictated play en route to a hard fought 2-0 win over the Western Conference leading Peoria Rivermen in AHL action on Wednesday night.

Bryan Cameron would open the scoring late in the first period while Jon Rheault would add some insurance with a power play marker midway thru the second.

Abbotsford would outshoot the Rivermen 37-22 on the night, with Lamoureux outdueling AHL All Star Jake Allen between the pipes. For Lamoureux, it is his third win this season and first shutout with the Heat.

Abbotsford wraps up their season high ten game home stand 4-4-1-1 and will now head out on a franchise long 10 game road trip, beginning Friday night in Winnipeg when they will once again battle the Manitoba Moose.
