Blues Reassign Chris Porter to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned forward Chris Porter to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Porter, 26, has made 18 appearances with Peoria this season notching 10 points including four goals and six assists. While with the Blues, the 6'1, 200-pound forward dressed in 25 games tallying two assists and serving 14 penalty minutes.

The Toronto, Ontario native was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 9th round, 282nd overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed by St. Louis as a free agent on August 21, 2007.
