Boise Hawks News Release
Pasco, Washington - The Hawks held the Dust Devils scoreless for the first seven innings but a three run eighth inning proved to be enough as the Dust Devils took the game by a score of 3-0.
David Hill made his fourth start of the season for the Hawks and pitched two shutout innings, allowing no hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
The Hawks were hitless until the fourth inning when Kevin Padlo slapped a single, extending his hitting streak to nine games.
It was a night of pitching as the two teams went scoreless until Carlos Belen belted a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning, ending a streak of 17 consecutive scoreless innings by Hawks pitchers dating back to last night.
Mason Smith and Mitch Morales followed with RBI hits and the Dust Devils took game three of this five game series by a score of 3-0.
The Hawks (18-36) and the Dust Devils (30-24) will square off tomorrow night at 8:15 p.m.
