HARRIS & PERDOMO COMBINE FOR SHUTOUT OF HILLSBORO Vancouver bounces back into win column with 3-0 victory over Hops on Friday night

(Ron Tonkin Field - Hillsboro, OR) - Five scoreless innings from Toronto Blue Jays 1st Round selection RHP Jon Harris was combined with four dominant innings from newly-acquired LHP Angel Perdomo to give the Vancouver Canadians a convincing 3-0 win over Hillsboro on Friday night out at Ron Tonkin Field.

The Canadians opened the scoring in the top of the 7th inning when C Ryan Hissey was hit to lead off the frame, advanced to second base on a single off the bat of RF Sean Hurley, moved over to third base on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice bunt from SS Gunnar Heidt.

Vancouver put the game away in the top of the 8th inning scoring a pair of runs off of Hops reliever RHP Brecken Williams who issued a walk and three base hits with 2B Ryan Metzler and C Ryan Hissey grabbing RBI singles to put the game out of reach.

RHP Jon Harris managed his first professional win after going five scoreless innings allowing four hits, walking two while striking out four. Canadians reliever LHP Angel Perdomo made his Vancouver debut and was flawless going four innings of no-hit baseball, walking one and striking out seven to keep the C's within striking distance of first place Everett in the North Division.

With the win, Vancouver improves to 7-9, while the Hops fall to 10-6 heading into Saturday's game set for 5:03pm.
