Today's Game... Tonight is game two of a three-game series between the Senators and Trenton Thunder. The Thunder started the season 0-10 but are now 13 games over .500 and lead the Northern Division by 4.5 games over the Binghamton Mets. The Senators have fallen to fifth place for the first time this year and are a season low seven games under .500 entering tonight's game.

Last Time Out... On Tuesday night the Senators opened up a mini three-game homestand with the Trenton Thunder falling 6-3 to the Thunder. It was the sixth loss in a row for the Sens. The Commerce Bank Crowd of 5,542 saw the Senators fall behind 2-0 on 2 unearned runs, before the Senators tied the game in the fifth inning at 2-2. Matt Chico started for the Senators, in his Commerce Bank Park debut, and went five innings and didn't allow an earned run. Dan Foli pitched the sixth inning allowing a run and losing for the first time this year as his record falls to 4-1. Rich Lane hit a pinch hit solo home run in the eighth cutting the lead to 4-3, but Trenton scored twice in the ninth inning to put the game away. Justin Pope earned his 22nd save of the year for the Thunder, going the final two innings.

Big Trade... There were several player moves made earlier today due to the trade of major league pitcher Livan Hernandez to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Hernandez was traded on Monday to Arizona for two minor league pitchers, both have been assigned to the Senators. Pitchers Matt Chico and Garrett Mock will be added and three other moves were announced at the same time. Both new comers will join the Senators off of the Tennessee Smokies' roster, which is the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Mock had been with the Smokies all season and made 23 starts with a 4-8 record and a 4.95 ERA. Garrett worked in 131 innings and allowed 144 hits and 50 walks and had 117 strikeouts. Mock was selected by Arizona in the 3rd round of the 2004 draft. Another third rounder (2003), Chico split his time this season between Lancaster and Tennessee. In 10 starts at single-A Lancaster, Chico was 3-4 with a 3.75 ERA. The lefthander ran his record to 7-2 at Tennessee in just 13 starts. At double-A, he worked 81 innings and allowed just 62 hits and 20 earned runs.

Since the Break... The Senators are 10-22 since the Eastern League All-Star game. They entered the All- Star break in 3rd place, eight games behind Akron but now trail Akron by 17 games. The Senators are now a season low seven games under .500 after having been a season best 43-34 on June 28th.

Nationals Senators Players of the Month... INF Josh Whitesell and RHP Justin Echols were selected as the Senators players of the Month by the Nationals. Whitesell was 27 x 80 (.338) with 7 HRs and 14 RBIs. He had a slugging percentage of .613. Echols had an ERA of 3.86 in six starts. In 32.2 innings he struck out 31 and walked 19 and opponents batted just .246 off of him.

Harrisburg vs. Trenton... The Senators and Trenton Thunder begin their final series against one another tonight. The Sens have taken four of the first six from Trenton, including a three-game sweep back in April here at Commerce Bank Park.

7/4 Away L 0-4 Tyler Clippard handcuffs the Sens allowing just a hit and K'ing 11 in 8 inns of work.

7/5 Away W 5-4 DeMent homers and Sens score single runs in the 8th and 9th to win

7/6 Away L 0-4 Redman accounts for only run as Karstens shuts down the Sens offense

8/15 Home L 3-6 Matt Chico makes home debut, pitches well, but bullpen can't keep it close in loss
