Endicott native James Johnson tossed seven two-hit innings for the Bowie Baysox, who blanked the Binghamton Mets 3-0 at NYSEG Stadium Wednesday. The B-Mets have lost the first two games of the series and seven in a row.

Bowie (58-63) went ahead for good in the fourth when Jeff Fiorentino and Leo Daigle singled off Philip Humber, putting runners at the corners for Dustin Yount, who scored Fiorentino with a sacrifice fly. Humber (0-2) also gave up a leadoff homer to Rayner Bautista in the fifth, departing after striking out nine over 5 2/3 innings. Yount added a solo shot of his own in the sixth off Joe Smith.

Meanwhile, Johnson kept the B-Mets' (61-60) hitters off balance. The righthander retired 15 of the first 16 to face him before Andy Wilson led off the sixth with a walk, the first of three consecutive innings in which the B-Mets got the leadoff man on.

However, Johnson (10-6) combined with Anderson Garcia and James Hoey to hold the B-Mets to three hits, two of them by Michel Abreu, with Hoey notching his fourth save in five chances.

Thursday, the B-Mets play the final game of a three-game series against Bowie. Michael Devaney (3-1, 2.97) gets the ball for Binghamton against Radhames Liz (2-1, 5.22) of Bowie. The first pitch is slated for 7:00 at NYSEG Stadium with the radio broadcast starting at 6:45 on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.
