The Harrisburg Senators and Binghamton Rumble Ponies play game two of their three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at FNB Field.
TONIGHT'S GAME The Senators welcome the Binghamton Rumble Ponies to Harrisburg for a three-game series in their first and only visit to FNB Field this season. The Senators won the series opener 6-5, with Taylor Gushue capping the comeback in the ninth with a walk-off RBI single. The Senators went 5-9 against Binghamton last season. The two clubs are scheduled to play just six games against each other this season, with three games at each club's ballpark.
COMEBACK WIN Tuesday's series opening win was the Senators' first victory this season when trailing entering the 9th inning. The Senators are now 1-20 in such contests. The win was also the Senators' sixth walk-off victory this year while the team had just four walk-off wins all of last season.
EASTERN LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Adam Brett Walker was named Eastern League Player of the Week for the week of May 28 to June 3rd. Walker is the third Senators this season to receive pitcher of player of the week honors, joining pitchers Brady Dragmire and Kyle McGowin. Walker hit a pair of triples in Saturday night's game, becoming the first Senator this season to hit multiple three-base hits in a game. Walker was the Eastern League weekly leader in slugging percentage (.864), OPS (1.308), triples (2), and tied for the league lead in home runs (2) and extra base hits (5).
NL RULES Tuesday marked the first of 13 consecutive games the Senators play with National League rules. The Senators do not play another game with the DH until June 22 against Akron.
LEAGUE LEADERS Daniel Johnson ranks among the Eastern League leaders in multiple offensive categories. Johnson leads the league in triples (6), second in at-bats (213) and tied for second in steals (16). In addition, Brady Dragmire leads the league in innings pitched (75.1) and is sixth in ERA (2.75), Jefry Rodriguez is fifth in strikeouts (60) and Dan Gamache is third in walks (31).
BEST STRETCH After Tuesday's win, the Senators have won 12 of their past 16 games and 15 of their past 21 overall. The series loss to Portland was their first series loss since they were swept by Trenton from May 3 to May 6. SENATORS STARTING PITCHER Kyle McGowin starts game two of the series for the Senators. The right-hander is 2-0 with a 2.92 ERA across four starts this season. McGowin allowed two runs on six hits across six innings in his last start against Portland on June 1. BINGHAMTON STARTING PITCHER The Rumble Ponies counter with starter Joseph Shaw. The right-hander is 0-3 with a 6.42 ERA across 10 starts this season. Shaw allowed ten runs on nine hits in six and a third innings in his last start on May 31 against Erie. The 24-year-old was selected in the 12th round of the 2015 draft from Dallas Baptist.
