TONIGHT'S GAME The Senators continue their four-game series with Trenton on Friday night. Trenton scored eight runs over the opening three innings in their 9-0 win on Friday night to send the Senators to their third straight loss. The team is 1-4 against Trenton as the Thunder took two out of three games from the Senators in their first and only other series this season, April 23 to 25. This is the final time the Senators play in Trenton this season as the two clubs do not meet again until August 10 -12 at FNB Field, their last series against each other.

FROM EAST TO WEST With their loss on Friday night, the Senators fell to 4-12 against the Eastern League Eastern Division. In contrast, the Senators are 6-4 against teams in the Western Division. Following the four-game set in Trenton, the Senators will play 17 of their next 21 games against the West. After the four-game set in Trenton, the Senators will have played 17 of their last 20 games against the East. LEAGUE LEADERS Yadiel Hernandez enters play tenth in the Eastern League in batting average (.307), fourth in RBI (18), sixth in on-base percentage (.409) and tied for fourth in home runs (5). In addition, Friday night's starter Jefry Rodriguez is fourth in strikeouts (33). Daniel Johnson leads with league in at-bats (105), is second in triples (3), and third in stolen bases (9). Finally, after Brady Dragmire went another seven innings on Thursday night, the right-hander now leads the league in innings pitched (37.1).

SCHEDULE UPDATE The Senators are in the midst of 14 straight games against American League affiliated teams, the club's longest stretch this season playing consecutive games with the DH. The Senators are also in the midst of a stretch where they play 14 of the next 18 games on the road, with the lone homestand a four-game series against New Hampshire May 10-13.

HOME RUN HYPE Friday's game snapped Yadiel Hernandez's streak of four consecutive games with a home run.14 of the last 18 runs scored by the Senators have all been driven in on home runs. The Senators as a team have hit 20 home runs, seventh most in the Eastern League. SENATORS STARTING PITCHER Jaron Long starts the third game of the series for the Senators. The right-hander is 0-2 with a 6.92 ERA over three starts with the Senators this season. Long allowed one run in five innings in his only other start against Trenton this season on April 24. TRENTON STARTING PITCHER Trenton counters with starter Will Carter. The right-hander is 0-1 with a 6.91 ERA across four starts this season. Carter allowed just six runs, two earned, in four and two-thirds innings on April 28 at New Hampshire. The 25-year-old is making his first start of the season against the Senators. Carter was originally selected in the 14th round of the 2015 draft from the University of Alabama.
