WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers continued to fine-tune their roster today in preparation for training camp with the addition of safety Cam Hall and running back Fred Reid.

As per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Hall (6-1, 220, Boise State '05, DOB: Nov. 1, 1982 in Richland, Wash.) was a collegiate standout at Boise State of the Western Athletic Conference. His size, skill and speed made him a top defensive playmaker for the Broncos.

Hall played in nine games for the Broncos in 2005 and finished with 23 tackles, three tackles for losses, one quarterback sack and two pass knockdowns.

In 2004, he registered 46 tackles, including a career-high 19 versus Louisville, one tackle for a loss and three interceptions, including a 52-yard interception return for a touchdown. In 2003, Hall had 35 tackles, four tackles for losses, two sacks and blocked a punt versus Brigham Young that was recovered by a Boise State teammate for a touchdown.

Hall already has a link to the Blue Bombers. He was a college teammate of current Bomber quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie.

"Cam Hall is a smart, playmaking defender who has the size and athleticism to contribute to our defensive secondary," said Bombers G.M. Brendan Taman. "And he is versatile enough that he could see time at linebacker during training camp."

Reid (5-10, 190, Mississippi State '04, DOB: March 16, 1982 in Tampa, Fla.) is a lightning-quick rusher and a solid receiver out of the backfield.

In four seasons at Mississippi State, Reid carried the ball 236 times for 996 yards (4.2-yard per carry average) and six TDs. He also had 44 catches for 349 yards and two TDs and saw action on the Bulldogs' special teams unit, returning 61 kickoffs for 1,303 yards (21.4-yard average) and one TD.

His best season at Mississippi State came in his senior year in 2004 when he had 82 carries for 393 yards and two TDs in 11 games and added 13 catches for an additional 86 yards. He had a single game career best 111 rushing yards in 2002 against Troy State.

Reid was signed by the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent in April 2005. He was released by the team in June of that year. More recently, he played for the Mississippi Mudcats of the American Indoor Football Association.

"Fred Reid has outstanding speed and is a shifty runner," Taman said. "His ability as both a runner and a receiver is a valuable addition to our football club."
